And as stories go, this must be the most miraculous story I have heard in a long long time. I can vouch for the genuineness of this story. It really did happen.
I was visiting a client who is a Lieutenant Colonel in the army. We were having tea with his lovely family – two teenage daughters and his wife. That is when the older girl narrated this incident that happened to her sister a couple of years ago.
“We had all gone to the zoo when she was eight years. We were standing in front of the Tiger’s cage. He was a Royal Bengal Tiger and looked very majestic. Before we knew it, my sister had put her hand between the bars into the cage. It was happening so quickly, the tiger bounded across in a split second and nuzzled his nose to her hand. We were too shocked to react. A strange thing was happening, his ears were tucked behind and he had closed his eyes…it was like a cat purring! My sister was happily running her fingers on his nose. My father regained his presence of mind and snatched my sister away. Thereupon the tiger furiously snarled at all of us. My sister was unperturbed.”
I was amazed at this narration. This girl, it seems, has a way with animals. This is an unique gift. Her dream is to travel the globe and work for a nature television company like Animal Planet.
